Each
year during the last full weekend in June, the Hodaka Club holds Hodaka
Days in Athena, Oregon, the home of PABATCO, the designer and
exclusive importer of Hodaka Motorcycles.
The city park in Athena is ground zero for four days of Hodaka fun.
Hodaka Days historically encompasses many events over the course of the long weekend.
To start things off, Thursday afternoon there's a vintage bike Poker Run "TT ride" for about 50 scenic miles. Followed by the opening of the swap meet in the Athena city park. Just set up your Easy-Ups and tables in your chosen spot in the Athena City Park. There's no fee and plenty of room to sell your Hodaka bikes, parts, and any other vintage motorcycle stuff. The day closes out with a welcome BBQ dinner in the evening.
On Friday morning, the Bad Rock Reunion Trail Ride heads out from Weston and follows some of the original trails through the beautiful Blue Mountains as the famous two-day qualifiers held there in the 1970s . The swap meet opens at noon again in the park, and the club silent auction and sale starts. In the evening, a fund raiser dinner put together by the Athena Christian Church is on tap. After dinner ice cream is served at the historic Gem Theater in downtown Athena along accompanied by lectures and movies.
Saturday's action starts with observed trials on the sections on the west side of town. And the swap meet, auction and sale continue. After lunch, attendees assemble for the parade down main street.
Saturday afternoon is the bike show. Attend the show and vote for your favorite. Most categories are decided by popular vote. Bring your sunglasses so you're not blinded by the sea of chrome. The silent auction and sale ends at 4:00. Serving for the awards banquet starts at 6:30, followed by awards presentation and auction of a few choice items to raise money for the Hodaka Club.
Sunday closes out the weekend with vintage motocross on the "World Famous" Diamond Eye track in downtown Athena.
